Made In The Shade  uses a technique which covers your body with a safe and non toxic solution especially mixed for individual skin types. It is extremely safe as it acutally works directly with skin pigmentation just as the sun does, but without any damage!

The active ingredient used is Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA is a skin safe sugar derivative, which has been used in the cosmetic industry for over 30 years. DHA interacts with the outermost, surface skin layer, producing a golden brown color that resembles the coloration of a UV based tan. Dihydroxyacetone was permanently added to the FDA "safe" list of skin care ingredients in the 1970's.
